LCA 7

Monday 22nd February 2021 LCA Lesson 7 1. The music in a horror styled film would be rather dissonant, eerie tones and very sharp and short music. 2. The soundtrack to an action movie would be something rather adrenaline pumping, that is upbeat and goes with stunts and CGI 3. The music to a thriller would be somewhat the same, being very wow-ing and would suit very fast paced events 4. A comedy film can be a mixture of rather normal music. It depends on what type of comedy it is, like a modern film would consist of most likely quite normal cut-scene music, such as maybe some sort of ambient or Jazz music. 5. A science fiction film would have mysterious sounding music along with some normal, too. Science fiction may consist of a mixture of cut scene music, and strange music to convey the sense of mysteriousness. Mission Impossible Fallout: 1. In the specific scene at the start where there is a gunfight for plutonium, yes there is music. 2. The music being the iconic Mission Imposs...

Lights, Camera, Action

Tuesday 9th February 2021 Lights, Camera, Action. The type of setting that a director chooses for a film has a massive impact on the message it's trying to send and how it will look. Obviously, if there's no correlation between the setting and what the film is trying to be, then it ruins the immersion and partly the action point of the film. Choosing the right colours for things such as costumes can also dictate the personality and intent of a character, and genuinely just what they are. Picking an outrageous colour for someone who might want to be seen as dark an evil, will tamper with the seriousness of that character and ruin the immersion of the aim of that character. 1. The action takes place in the famous Hacksaw Ridge. 2. Because it was based off true events of WW2 that happened in that location. 3. The setting only changes when different parts of the story occur, such as Desmond's childhood at the start of the film. 4. The setting of war makes all the characters e...

They are used for capturing the battlefield and showing the soldiers' expressions in the midst of war etc. A few times throughout the scene as the size of capture varies Desmond Doss' who was a medic in WW2 who refused to carry any firearm after accidentally almost killing his brother in his childhood years. The POV is rather just fixated on one, it does not really vary at all. It moves quite frequently to capture the chaos of war, creating a gloomy, gritty atmosphere. It really tells the story to be accurately hectic and unforgiving It projects a calm before the storm type of feel, as the actio...

Nothing abnormal happening. They are travelling through mountainous, dry land toward a Forward Operating Base about 12km out.   Disruption After travelling a good 7km, the soldiers spot a figure on one of the many hills. 1 turned into 2, into 3, into 4. ‘Section, Halt’ the Corporal ordered. The soldiers squinted and strained their eyes as one got out a pair of binoculars. ‘Lads get down, I think that’s a Taliban soldi-' A cloud of lead rained across the section, ‘CONTACT!’ the Corporal shouted. The soldiers were taking fire from one of the neighbouring hills. The heart-racing adrenaline surged through each soldiers veins compelled them, but the fear of death for some stared into their...

Monday 25th January 2021 Film Making  Tom Holland- Ian Lightfoot Chris Pratt- Barley Lightfoot Julia Louis-Dreyfus- Laurel Lightfoot Octavia Spencer- The Manticore 4 Relevant Characters The Main Characters are Ian and Barley Lightfoot The main story is about these two characters and their Father The protagonists tell the story themselves The characters are mainly blue elvish type beings, the manticore being a minotaur type animal The characters' appearance makes them look rather casual, despite being a different species  They have a standard American Dialect They behave like regular normal Human Beings The protagonists in some parts have a majestic motif The character that interests me the most is Barley The story would alter and take away quite a lot of the meaning if one of the main characters was taken away, the moral is about family and siblings. The hero(s): Ian and Barley. The villain: The curse The donor: The Manticore The helper: The heros serve being a helper to each ...
