LCA Lesson 10

Friday 12th March LCA Lesson 10 Independence Day: Resurgence/The Silence/War Of The Worlds 1. The main characters tend to be Male 2. All of my chosen films have part(s) in them where they require their families action of safety 3. Independence Day's disaster is, to put it straight, about the alien abduction and capture of earth. The silence is about a species of bat-like human-eating creatures that plague earth, and sense anything that makes sound. War of the Worlds is roughly similar to Independance Day, as it includes the invasion of earth from extraterrestrials. 4. All of them had the main character overcome the problem, but lost several others in the process. 5. Independence Day involves space travel to the main objective of eliminating the invading force, and The Silence involves driving away from the initial source of danger. 6. They all have the 'Close friend sacrifice' involved, where one or more of the main characters is sadly taken away or killed during the proces...

LCA lesson 8

LCA- L8 Friday 5th March 2021 Positioning can be extremely important in terms of a scene with multiple people. It can display their status and meaning towards another in the scene, and even the current relationship between them. By displaying your actions correctly in a film, viewers can practically read your mind of your next action towards someone etc. In this scene, the MES tells us that, by the props and wallpaper, this is a scene from a film set around 300 years ago. The elegant, old fashioned chairs, tables and candle holders all have a touch of old wealth to them, and makes it look like this place could be involved with royalty. The guards around the main character can also tell us this man is important- he needs a great level of security and is very recognised. The hair, costume and makeup to the main character also can build his on stage appearance and personality, his looks portraying the man he is and what he does.
