LCA 7

Monday 22nd February 2021 LCA Lesson 7 1. The music in a horror styled film would be rather dissonant, eerie tones and very sharp and short music. 2. The soundtrack to an action movie would be something rather adrenaline pumping, that is upbeat and goes with stunts and CGI 3. The music to a thriller would be somewhat the same, being very wow-ing and would suit very fast paced events 4. A comedy film can be a mixture of rather normal music. Lights, Camera, Action

Tuesday 9th February 2021 Lights, Camera, Action. The type of setting that a director chooses for a film has a massive impact on the message it's trying to send and how it will look. Choosing the right colours for things such as costumes can also dictate the personality and intent of a character, and genuinely just what they are. Picking an outrageous colour for someone who might want to be seen as dark an evil, will tamper with the seriousness of that character and ruin the immersion of the aim of that character. 1. The action takes place in the famous Hacksaw Ridge. 2. Because it was based off true events of WW2 that happened in that location. 3. The setting only changes when different parts of the story occur, such as Desmond's childhood at the start of the film. 4. The setting of war makes all the characters e...

They are used for capturing the battlefield and showing the soldiers' expressions in the midst of war etc. A few times throughout the scene as the size of capture varies Desmond Doss' who was a medic in WW2 who refused to carry any firearm after accidentally almost killing his brother in his childhood years. The POV is rather just fixated on one, it does not really vary at all. It moves quite frequently to capture the chaos of war, creating a gloomy, gritty atmosphere. It really tells the story to be accurately hectic and unforgiving It projects a calm before the storm type of feel, as the actio...
