My film:

Celcius

Due to severe climate change, the earths core has grew dangerously hot causing the crust around it to weaken and some of the contents to burst. Molten metals and rock from the core have surfaced to earth, causing death on a large scale across the globe, excluding northern and southern countries closer to the poles. The main characters are a family of 4- A Father, a Mother, a 9 year old girl and a 12 year old boy.


The film is set in 2039



Equilibrium

Threats of global warming are creeping up along countries that intercept into the equator, but nothing has happened. Life is continuing as normal despite the rising temperature, countries like England hitting arounds 35 degrees every spring/summer. Barack, the main character, Father to a family of 4 is returning home to Rio De Janeiro from working in the north of Brazil for work, as Baracks occupation contributes to the investigation of the rising climate. The date is 12th of June, 2039. 


Disruption

1 day after Barrack returns from work, at 4:49PM the TV is intercepted by a national emergency broadcast. This broadcast states a moderate warning for unusual climate, starting wildfires in the nation. The family are rather unalerted, until a second alert is recieved. This alert plays a loud unpleasant noise whilst operated. The alert states a highly severe emergency, magma surfacing from the Earths core and the high temperatures have broken out within 13 cities in Brazil, and more expected. Death threat is extremely high, as 4 of those 13 cities have been engulfed within the lava and more than 1,000 deaths have been predicted and counting. Rio is expected to go into an emergency state within the next 22 minutes

Years of global warming have edged to the awareness of humans. Yet the problem still progressed.


Now, the result of the actions of our species are beginning to dawn upon us. Barack, (Nicholas Cage) and his family experience one of the most horrifying global disasters that the earth has ever lived to see. Mass death. Destruction of cities. Collapse of society. We had many chances. To wake up. To see what we were directing our planet straight into. 


Enter from the perspective of Baracks family and take in the awe.

LCA lesson 8

  LCA- L8 Friday 5th March 2021 Positioning can be extremely important in terms of a scene with multiple people. It can display their status and meaning towards another in the scene, and even the current relationship between them. By displaying your actions correctly in a film, viewers can practically read your mind of your next action towards someone etc. In this scene, the MES tells us that, by the props and wallpaper, this is a scene from a film set around 300 years ago. The elegant, old fashioned chairs, tables and candle holders all have a touch of old wealth to them, and makes it look like this place could be involved with royalty. The guards around the main character can also tell us this man is important- he needs a great level of security and is very recognised. The hair, costume and makeup to the main character also can build his on stage appearance and personality, his looks portraying the man he is and what he does.
